Scott Beigel spent his life working to make a positive impact in the lives of the children he coached and taught. Donations support our mission and honor his legacy. 

Proceeds from all RUN 4 BEIGEL events support the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to send at-risk, underserved kids touched by gun violence to summer sleep-away camp.

Since its founding in 2018, under the leadership of Scott’s mom, Linda Beigel Schulman, the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund has given out a total of one million dollars in grants. 

  • In 2022, with the support and generosity of so many, the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund gave out grants to fund 212 camperships for at-risk children to six summer sleep-away camps in three states (NY, CT, MA) totaling $283,600.
  • At our 2023 Annual Gala, the Fund gave out grants totaling $378,000, which funded camperships for 262 at-risk children to seven camps in four states. Many of these children come from homeless shelters, domestic abuse shelters, or single parent homes.
  • As of the summer of 2023, we have sent over 690 children to summer sleep-away camp.

Our mission is simple and powerful – to change the world one child at a time. We are dedicated to increasing the number of camperships we give out each year. This is a hefty task – and as you can imagine, we need your help.
